About the Resort
Kona Country Club is your backyard.
Peace & Quiet
All you'll hear is the gentle churn of the ocean on Keauhou Bay.
Perched along the lava rock cliffs of Kona, this oceanfront resort is a relaxing retreat in a gated community on He'eia Bay on the Big Island. Low-rise, townhome-style accommodations are a welcome relief from all the action at larger resorts. Get everyone changed into swimsuits, grab water wings, dive sticks, and pool toys and spray everyone head to toe in sunscreen before hitting the pools. Lounge by the oceanfront pool and admire the endless views of the Pacific. There are two other pools, one for children, and another for adults. When it’s time for lunch, light up the BBQ and put your grill-master skills to the test. Let your little helpers carry hot dogs, burgers, and side-dishes while the grownups handle the condiments, plates and utensils. Get in touch with your inner Serena Williams at the resort’s two lighted tennis courts.
One- to two-bedroom condos sleep four to six guests. Views include Fairway, Ocean, Partial Ocean and Oceanfront. A family field trip to the KTA Super Stores Grocery is definitely in order – your full kitchen won’t stock itself. When you return to your condo, let the little ones assist with baking your famous double chocolate brownies. When things get messy (and you know they will) take advantage of the in-suite washer/dryer. Show off your multitasking skills and throw in a load while the brownies finish baking. Once the brownies are done, call everyone into the living room. Enjoy the brownies while you watch a sitcom rerun on the Cable TV. If you need more space, upgrade to a Two-Bedroom Condo with a Loft.
Kanaloa at Kona by Outrigger is next door to the Kona Country Club Championship Golf Course. This 18-hole course was build in 1966 and was designed by William Bell. The country club features putting and chipping greens, a driving range and a fully stocked Pro Shop. The resort is just a short walk to Keauhou Shopping Village. The Farmers Market has local fruits, vegetables, flowers and coffee. Browse the selection while you enjoy the live music. Check out the Hawaiian “Works of Heart” at Clint Sloan Galleries. For contemporary casual apparel, head to Jams World. In the Tropics features Hawaiian Heritage jewelry made by local artists. Surprise the kids with a visit to Regal Cinemas, which has first-run movies. If you’re into books, Kona Stories has new and used books for readers of all ages. Hungry? Keauhou Shopping Village features a variety of restaurants. Bianelli’s has gourmet pizza and pasta. Kenichi Pacific has sushi and seafood. L&L Hawaiian Barbecue is known for their Fusion of Asian and American cuisine made with a “unique island flair.” If you like traditional Mexican food, try Los Habaneros.
