The highest-rated Vail condominium rentals in Lionshead Village for a reason (several, actually), the Lodge at Lionshead is just a two-minute walk to the base of Vail Mountain – faster for snowboarders than skiers, given the footwear situation. The list of complimentary amenities ranges from borrowable cruiser bikes and GoPro cameras, to lobby tea and coffee, and popcorn with your DVD rentals. The concierge team can help with everything from ski rentals and tuning, to blissfully relaxing in-condo massage treatments (who can resist?). Vail Mountain views are everywhere you turn, but best appreciated from the heated outdoor pool and hot tubs (so says the pool-and-hot-tub crowd). There’s a fitness center and sauna if you’re feeling extra-invigorated by the crisp mountain air or the active lifestyle-embracing crowd. And when you’re ready to browse the shops and sample the impressive local foodie scene, downtown is an easy ten-minute stroll or five-minute free shuttle ride.
Studios, studio lofts and one- to three-bedroom vacation rentals have a lodge-like feel, with spectacular mountain and valley views. All residences are equipped with a well appointed kitchen or studio kitchenette – the perfect excuse to forego your usual morning-rush french toast sticks and re-familiarize yourselves with the real deal (sooo much better). If the weather’s playing nice, appoint a designated grill-master to fire up the BBQ on your private balcony or patio and start perfecting made-to-order burgers. Line up the condiments on the counter and let your crew top away. If you’re on a super-organized kick and have meals planned in advance (bravo!), you can arrange to have groceries delivered just in time for your arrival.
Make friends with the concierge team – they’ll be your go-to for activity and tour reservations, concert and event tickets and the best tables in town for dinner. Ask about Jeep/Hummer tours, rock climbing, fly fishing, whitewater rafting, favorite hiking trails and top golf courses. Get the insider track on summer festivals and foodie events. If you’re visiting during ski season, ask about guides for backcountry skiing, or find out how to get to Adventure Ridge, where the kids can snowmobile, snowshoe, snow bike and tube down the slopes. Arrange for a Snow Cat tour or plan a sleigh ride dinner at nearby Four Eagle Ranch. Your wish is the concierge’s command.
