For a totally epic mountain getaway, ski-in/ski-out is the way to go. Interlude Condominiums is nestled near the base of Snowmass Mountain, so you and your crew can go from suite to slopes in minutes flat. Prepare for the powder day ahead by carbo-loading on a hearty breakfast, courtesy of a fully equipped en-suite kitchen. Once everyone’s had seconds (and thirds) just gear up and waltz on outside - Fanny Hill is just outside your door. Coast right up to the Village Express Lift which will take you up the mountain to explore Snowmass’ 3,300 acres of terrain. You can even explore the neighboring Buttermilk, Highland, and Aspen Mountain ski areas. Just hop the free Aspen town shuttle - your lift ticket is good at all four mountains! Got little ones in your crew? Head for the Treehouse Kids Adventure Center, which holds ski camp for tots as young as two (they’ll be zipping down the double diamonds by age five!) and a licensed daycare for infants and toddlers with interactive, mountain-themed playrooms. After a full day of shredding, rendezvous with the crew at the base. Stop by Base Camp Bar & Grill for a some aprés snacks (and perhaps a pint) before heading back to Interlude. When it comes to dinner, if you don’t feel like cooking (hey, you’re on vacation!) ordering in is a totally valid option. At the end of the night, gather round the fire with your crew to swap stories from slopes and plan for tomorrow’s adventures.
Two- and three-bedroom chalet style suites are spacious, inviting and well appointed. Exposed wood beam ceilings and brick wood burning fireplaces add alpine charm, while a fully equipped kitchen and in-unit washer/dryer lend the conveniences of home. A private balcony with a barbecue grill and stunning mountain views is the perfect setting for an aprés beverage.
If visiting during peak season, be sure to set aside Friday for Ullr Nights. Every Friday night all season Snowmass celebrates the Norse God of Snow - Ullr - with a huge mountaintop party for the whole family! Ride the Elk Camp gondola to arrive at a winter wonderland of tubing, ice skating, snowbiking, s'mores, cocoa, live music and gourmet food. If you’re a bit snowed out, take a break from the mountain and hop the town shuttle to browse Aspen’s quaint downtown area. Take a stroll down historic Main Street to admire the Queen Anne Victorian houses until you get hungry, then pick from a variety of fine dining options.
