Located in the heart of Ft. Lauderdale, Marriott’s Beachplace Towers has views that live up to your imagination – and your imagination is pretty vivid. Even the pool has postcard-worthy scenery. Set up camp in a lounge chair and keep towels, snacks and magazines handy. When it’s time for lunch, eat poolside at the Splash Bar & Grill. Dine on latin faves like fish tacos and nachos, or classic American fare like burgers and fries. Little ones will love the splash area just for them. The Kid’s Club and Activity Center has plenty to keep kids of all ages entertained. There’s an indoor playground for toddlers and for the big kids there is an Xbox, Wii, several games and kid-friendly movies. There are also a variety of planned activities daily. While the kids are occupied at the Activity Center, take the opportunity to get your cardio on at the recently upgraded fitness room featuring brand new exercise equipment. A post workout visit to the steam room is a must, or take advantage of the hot tubs for even more relaxation. Treat yourself to a massage, facial or body scrub at the nearby Spa at Marriott’s Harbor Beach.
Spacious one- and two-bedroom condos are spacious, airy and bright. Suites include full kitchens because breakfast was meant to be eaten in PJs. In the lobby the Marketplace Express offers a selection of basic groceries and the attached Starbucks will be handy for your daily caffeine fix. The kitchen has plenty of counter space for your sandwich assembly line. No worries when you don’t feel like cooking - microwave meals are perfectly acceptable on vacation. Be a hero in the kid’s eyes and pick up hot pockets and frozen pizzas. The sitting area is perfect for hanging out as a group, whether your crew is more into game night or movie marathons. Suites have flat screen TVs with DVD players, plus there are movies for rent at the resort (or bring your faves from home).
Shopaholics rejoice! Beachplace Towers is located above an open-air shopping mall called The Gallery at Beach Place. It features well-known mall must-haves like Banana Republic and Dillard’s, a variety of boutiques, plus an array of restaurant options. For some fun in the sun Ft. Lauderdale Beach is so magical you half-expect to see a mermaid. Work on your tan while the kids build the sandcastle of all sandcastles. Then join them for a dip in the Atlantic to cool off. If you want to explore more of Pompano Beach, the resort is also a short drive to Las Olas Boulevard, home to exciting shopping, dining and entertainment. Souvenirs don’t find themselves – so go forth and shop.
