Each timeshare cottage is owned by 15 owners. Cottage 5 is about 35 years old and still has many of the original owners. The unit for sale was a foreign owner foreclosure. Most owners live within a 2-7 hour driving distance and use their red or white weeks. Nantucket is a unique beach/coastal environment and living expenses are high. The maintenance fee is less than the normal rental for a prime week and you have three other weeks also included in the maintenance fee. Other weeks can be banked with RCI. An additional usage fee is charged only if you occupy the unit to cover linens and cleaning. A ferry brings vehicles to the island, but some individuals without children use bikes.
