Usage
Your "Usage" determines how you book your timeshare. Most of the time, you're either guaranteed the same week every year, or you can pick the week you want within a season. This is the classic "Fixed Weeks" and "Floating Weeks" timeshare, respectively.
More recently, a lot of the big resort brands offer "Points" instead of weeks, or they let you convert your week into points. You can use these points to make reservations at many different resorts in their vacation club. Points also make it easier to split a full-week into nightly reservations.
Week/Season
Looking to own in a particular season? Have the perfect week in mind? Or maybe you just want to select a range of dates and see what's available. This filter lets you view listings based on when you want to stay. You can filter results by season, week number(s) or range of dates.
Price
The price of a resale timeshare can vary quite a bit. This usually depends on the resort, number of bedrooms, time of year it's available and the location. A three-bedroom timeshare at a five-star resort during the peak ski season will sell for quite a bit. Often you can find better priced timeshares at resorts where the most popular seasons last longer.
Every listing is priced by individual sellers, so make sure you compare all similar timeshares at the same resort to get the best deal. For timeshare points, you can specify a max price per point to better help you compare.
Maintenance Fee
Find out how much it costs each year to keep your timeshare in good condition. Resorts charge owners an annual maintenance fee based on the size of their residence and a few other factors. This fee and how it's charged is different at each resort.
Frequency
Most timeshares can be used every year. Others are available for use every even or odd year, which is known as biennial ownership. This filter lets you view listings by how often you can use a timeshare, whether it's annual, biennial or triennial.
Accommodations
The accommodations filter lets you search by the features offered in each timeshare residence. It's important to know how many people it can sleep, as well as the number of beds and bathrooms. You can also specify whether you want a lock-off unit, a full-kitchen, living area and washer/dryer or if the residence allows pets and other perks.
View
Every timeshare residence looks out onto a different view. Checking one of the "View" boxes lets you filter residences by the scenery outside the window. This will help you find timeshares facing the ocean or overlooking the pool area, etc.
Amenities
Amenities include every activity and perk offered at each resort. Use the check boxes below to narrow your search by whether the resort has a pool, restaurants, kid's program, spa, etc.
Exchange Affiliation
Exchanging your timeshare lets you stay at other resorts. By trading in your week one year with an external exchange company, you can choose to stay at another resort within their exchange network. For example, RCI has a collection of over 4,000 resorts to choose from. This filter allows you to sort timeshares based on which exchange company the resort uses.
Club
Many timeshare resorts are part of a larger vacation club. These clubs, such as Disney, Hilton, Hyatt, and Wyndham allow you to use your week to stay at many resorts within their network. This filter helps you find timeshares that are part of one of these larger clubs.
